E-commerce Manager

Our client is a fast-growing Polish D2C company that develops and sells consumer products across the sports, outdoor and children’s categories.

The business is growing by more than 50% year on year and sells through its own online stores, leading European marketplaces and selected retail partners. It already operates across several major European markets and is preparing for further international expansion, including opportunities beyond Europe.

The company is now looking for an experienced European Marketplace Manager to take strategic and operational ownership of its marketplace business and lead expansion into new channels and markets.

Your role

  • Take end-to-end responsibility for sales growth across several leading European marketplaces, including platforms such as Decathlon Marketplace, eMAG, Cdiscount and Allegro.
  • Manage cooperation with the external agency responsible for the Amazon channel.
  • Develop a channel-specific portfolio strategy, deciding which products to promote, in which markets, at what price points and with what target margins.
  • Launch new marketplaces and countries—from business-case analysis and seller-account setup through to managing the first 90 days of operations.
  • Ensure consistent pricing, positioning and commercial strategy across marketplaces and the company’s own e-commerce channels.
  • Build and maintain relationships with marketplace account managers and negotiate commercial terms and promotional opportunities.
  • Manage promotional budgets and advertising activities outside Amazon in cooperation with the internal performance marketing team.
  • Work closely with the creative team on product content, imagery, listings and enhanced brand content.
  • Monitor performance, profitability and key commercial metrics.
  • Report marketplace results and growth plans directly to the CEO.

Offer

  • Fully remote work, with occasional visits to the company’s office in central Poland for strategic planning and team meetings.
  • A meaningful role in a company growing by more than 50% annually.
  • Direct cooperation with and reporting to the CEO, without unnecessary management layers.
  • Significant influence over the company’s marketplace and international expansion strategy.
  • A professional development budget for industry conferences and training.
  • A high degree of decision-making autonomy after the onboarding period.

Requirements

  • At least three years of experience managing sales through European marketplaces, gained either in-house or within an agency.
  • Strong knowledge of Amazon Seller Central. Although Amazon is handled operationally by an external partner, you should understand the platform well enough to manage and challenge the agency effectively.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major European marketplace; exposure to several platforms will be a strong advantage.
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills, including the ability to interpret a P&L, calculate margins and make decisions based on unit economics.
  • Working proficiency in English, as it will be used daily.
  • A high level of ownership, independence and initiative.
  • A practical, hands-on approach combined with the ability to think strategically.
  • Experience launching new sales channels or entering new international markets would be highly valued.
